Newbie In Charlotte

Hey everyone. My name is Zach, and I am a fourteen year old Boy Scout. Many guys are starting to use hammocks now and I wanted to get one too. I am currently building my rig, though all I have right now is an ENO DoubleNest Hammock and a pair of Slap Strap Pros.

As a boy scout, you should go with something waaaaay more complicated and take use of those knot guides in your scout manual!

Glad to see some more young folk on here! (Just turned 19.) These old loonies were startin' to make me a bit crazy!

I kid I kid... Anyways, welcome, and definitely be a sponge and absorb some wisdom from all the folk on here! Great bunch of people, and I'm sure they will make you feel right as home as they did with me.

Going off the comment about knots, there is definitely plenty of ways to hang your hammock and tarp using only knot skills. Some pretty cool stuff.

If that's your thing, go for it! If not, well, Dutch is bound to come out with a titanium hammock stand that packs down to the size of a toothpick, and I'm sure you won't have to even get out of your chair to hang your hammock. (He is CRAZY with his inventions...) Anyways, I'm starting to ramble, welcome, and happy hanging!
