Decided to seal the seam. Diluted silicone with mineral spirits. I never figured it would be as easy as it was! Nice tidy job too. Allowed it to soak and as it dried I gave it a quick wipe with paper towel. Very happy. Picture included the tarp sideways set up drying.
I sealed the stuff sack for it too.
Color looks muted hanging in the shade.

I just wanted to follow up on this design. Still using it and loving it. One of the voiced concerns was the 13.6" ridgeline. I can say that being a hex tarp an added feature popped up. Need a 11' ridgeline? Rotate the tarp and you have it.
