    Michigan group hang 6/10-12...maybe?

Steve (ashcan) and I are looking to do something. we tossed up the idea of jetting up to pictured rocks for a friday/saturday/sunday thing but we'd have to make reservations no later than this thursday and sites are pretty tight. i did learn you can put 3 hammocks to a site as they classify them as bivy sacks but the 15' rule to site poll is a....well.

we also talked about doing a section on the MRT,...maybe friday at sleagle creek then walk up to campsite 5, 3 or maybe over to where the october hang was.
i'm really open to ideas if people want to jump in on this? my only requirement is a lake or river big enough to swim in. i'd probably be okay taking over another state like ohio or indiana if we had to.

anyway - it's out there....i'm also doing an overnight june 2nd at pinckney just to shake out some gear and test new things.

    cheers

That's why I haven't done an avatar yet! I'm interested in a trip then. I don't know too many places in Ohio or Indy, but maybe we could do Jordan river, or Pidgeon River trails. Those are good weekenders. I was also plannning to do Pictured Rocks, but in September.

Careful, thats how the Toledo Strip War started.

I'll toss an idea out there. Lakeshore hike.
    Or Nordhouse Dunes area.

I'll keep Pinckney in mind for the 2nd.

It was over shipping rights and access to rivers /lakes. I'm just looking at campsites.

So far I'm thinking mrt, parking at sleagle Friday night and hiking north on Saturday for a while unless someone has a plan

Depending on the local, I may be able to make a saturday night some place. I otherwise have no pref. on the location, I'll just make it if I can.
    Good luck,

    further North ?

Absolutely new to hammocks! Would love to meet up with others to learn a bit and drink your beer! I'd prefer to stay further North and away from trailer parks. I'll keep an eye on the plans tho.....

right now i'm trying to balance my grandparents coming down, a graduation and camping. i should know more by next weekend but i'm thinking the MRT is calling my name and the section from Sleagle creek north to campsite 3 or maybe the group campsite at the top of the trail. i'm thinking we'd show up to sleagle friday night and hike in (more or less 300yds) to campsite 7 i think which is just over the small bridge heading north on the trail. from there, saturday, i really don't care how far north we go but i'd like to be near the river so i can swim.
