That was really great! I'm not sure what I'm more amazed by... all the wildlife and beautiful things you saw or the face that you were able to convince your teenage daughter to go trekking in the woods for a few days. Glad you had an awesome time dude and thanks for sharing.

I agree. Magical expressions on those faces. Totally priceless!
I love all the little critters you caught with your lens, too!
Great report and welcome to BreezyBear!

Thanks everyone. I'm blessed to have kids who are actually interested in spending time with my wife and me.

Credit where credit is due, Breezy Bear was the principal photographer using her new Olympus PEN E-PL2 with a 14-42mm lens. It's a four thirds format digicam, so it's much smaller and lighter than 35mm cameras but still bigger than I want to carry. Fortunately she DID want to carry it.

Great trip report. Nothing beats seeing parent(s) getting their kids out into good ol' Mother Nature.

My 2 oldest girls are getting to the age of being able to take a 2 - 4 day back packing trip. We have talked about pulling this off and they are getting pretty excited.

    Keep up the good work!

Looks like you had a great adventure! Nice pics indeed. The OLP is a favorite of mine as well.
Too bad the blisters for BB came. Have you ever tried Compeed patches for blister care? I used to take them for the teens I'd take out for weekend romps. Many found comfort using them. http://www.compeed.ie/bgdisplay.jhtm...e=blisters&s=4

STinGa - Hopefully we'll be reading your trip report someday soon.

2Q - thanks for the tip. Will look into getting that.

Great trip report Knotty! Looks like an awesome trail, the forests in those parts look like they are just built for hanging! Your kid's got some stellar photobug skills!

    Cheers

The pictures look great, I can't wait until my son is old enough to go on a trip with me, but he's only 3. I hope to do the OLP some time this year.

There's a guide for this trail? Where can it be found?

Nice photos and trip report, Knotty. I gotta get back up there someday.
That's the trip I almost got killed going to in 2000.

Great pics of an interesting place.

I was staring at that pic of the Country Store for a good 10 minutes.

    Thanks for the tour.
