    Props to OES

Brian sent out my Maccat Deluxe on Monday and I received it yesterday afternoon. Nice, quick shipping. Upon opening the package, I found the tarp to be much lighter than I was expecting, and very high quality. I can't wait to use it this weekend at Eagle Rock Loop in Arkansas!

It's too bad about all the negative reviews on customer service OES accumulated in the months surrounding trail days and Brians finals. I would have purchased an OES over the Zpacks tarp if he ever responded to my emails or messages. I didn't mention any of that when everything was going on because I didn't want to pile it on. Enough people had made it clear he was busy. [I'm actually insanely glad I went with zpacks for the weight savings (quality piece of kit too) - Joe was awesome about everything customer service wise, and got me my tarp ASAP."]

That beig said - shout it from the roof tops - Brian is back in action - people need to know. OES makes amazing tarps - got to see a lot at Spring MAHHA this year. If I had fun money I'd buy a micro, but I'm currently broke!

Brian has been fantastic to deal with in the past. A little slow at emails and such but completely expected (on my end) given his workload and schedule. But I was not disappointed with any service or the quality of his goods. I will be buying from Brian again (once he releases his cuban line since I very nearly have done in his sil line).

As for Joe at Zpacks - he has been incredible to deal with as well. Never and issue, very prompt answers and super quick shipping.

As being the OP's for one the negative customer service review threads, I'll chock up my negative CS experience to just bad timing.

That being said, the MacCat I received is fantastic. The quality is top notch. I was also surprised at how light the tarp was even in the shipping packaging. Brian dropped a note in the package apologizing for the delay which was more than enough for me "to make things right".

If Brian get his tarps out in cuban, I would certainly look into one next season.

Yea, I got my shipping notification for my custom Ultra with 84" width and guyline kit and it shipped in a Flat Rate Envelope. I can't wait to see it!

There is just something about an OES tarp that says quality. For the most part many of the tarps look very much alike but i hold a special place for my many OES tarps.

+1 to all that! I got my 4 season yesterday, it took a bit, but I know what he's been up to, and hey, good things come to those who wait, patiently.
