We would be one step closer to world peace, if everyone slept in a hammock..

Anybody see why this design wouldn't work for a hammock sock?

I was thinking the same thing. I would leave the top cover bugnet material to let it breathe a little

Thanks Pipsissewa. Something similar has been in my head since I first saw Hangnout's original.

I think I will try one with a bug sock type thing on one end. A large opening secured by draw string and cord lock. When you open this end up, you can slide the entire thing to one end to have it out of the way when not needed.

Also, for some reason I dont like all of the canopy designs. I may just have a half canopy. Sew a flap to the left cord shock edge and drape it over the right cord shock.

    Thanks again.
    Looks great.

Exactamundo! And "Ch@rlie" says a cat cut on the ridge cap AND shock cord work very well to keep the cap down over the sides. The cat cut gives you a longer seam to sew down the sides and a tighter fit across the length. The shock cord keeps it straight and tight. Neither one is absolutely necessary, but I think they would be improvements over my design. Good luck!!
