Though the shelf is nice...I think this may move up the list since I JUST got mine today.

Took a nap in it and didn't want to get up...

The fact that when it's staked out it looks like an SR-71's (blackbird) wing pattern.

Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.

I'm drawn to the open country. Its where the world makes the most sense. When I put myself out there I always return with something new.

It's a toss up for me between the shelf and the footbox. The footbox really makes the hammock much more comfortable. I believe it would take a much longer hammock to get the same comfort without it. The shelf is a great place to put things and not end up on them latter. It's also in the middle so when I put things there they stay out of the way and dry as a bone.

These two are followed closely by the tieouts that are easily adjustable from inside the hammock and keep the fabric off of me and create a sense of s p a c e!

The position of the zipper in the fabric makes it easy to do things in the morning like make coffee without having to struggle or get out of the hammock.

The fact that this is a cottage industry maker in the US is a huge plus. It also helps that the quality if excellent.

All in all a great design that I am proud to own and delighted to use.
