    just made minimal coverage tarp

Pics of my new digicamo minimal coverage tarp from ww $1.50 a yard material.
    Me in the hammock

    another angle

    a closeup

bag on left is old 11x10 tarp with doors, bag on right is new tarp, and nalgene is quart size.

The tarp was made from asym instructions found on the forum. It works fine. If I lower the tarp it should keep me dry in light rain. Thanks for the instructions.

    Hey Charley,

Nice tarp! That WW fabric is better then some of the much more expensive fabrics i've seen. It doesn't really appear to repeat. Hope to see you at the next MAHHA.

    Looking good!

Just wondering how close you can bring that tarp to your hammock -- seems to be much longer than your hammock's ridgeline. I think you'll get the best coverage out of a minimal tarp if you get it as close to your hammock as possible. But no question, it will keep light rain away that's coming down in a straight manner -- and one might want to set up a bigger tarp for heavier raining conditions. Besides it's also a working source of shade.

I am wishing there was such inexpensive camo ripstop available in Germany -- pretty jealous of you over-the-pond-people.

    Looks fantastic!

The mythical WW fabric has become my white whale, none of them even carry fabric in my area anymore.
