Need a better joining system for my webbing

I am swtiching to webbing to hang my hammock. Its a lot easier than screwing around with a clove hitch and saves some wear on the trees as well. Only problem is, in my first attempt, the 2 inch plastic buckle on one side snapped while I was climing back in after a midnight leak. I chocked this up to too many parts but I don't want to use a web knot because it'll jam under load. Any Ideas?

Why not use a toggle tied in the webbing? Seems to work pretty good for me so far.

You used a plastic buckle to hang a hammock??? Is it at the tree end or the hammock end. if its the tree end consider dutch clips and if its at he hammock end, look into some cinch buckles.
