Did the Savage River 24 mile backpack loop this weekend. Lot's of water flowing in the creeks and river. Completed the trip with a jaunt through New Germany State Park. Excellent weekend!

I was afraid there wasn't any sound for a while there, then heard a bird whistle and the river at the 2 minute mark.

The "road" I camped along used to be an ORV trail. That's now gated/closed to ORV's and open to hikers. Not many hikers have learned this yet, so tons of solitude. You have to cross the stream many (around 14 I think) times. This time of year it was fast and cold. I'm going up there again in August and see how it looks. It's only 30 min from my house.
I don't talk in my videos. I like to watch them too, and remember the sights and sounds.
