Chosing between Warborrnet Black Mamba winter or hammockgear burrow. Thoughts?
All things being equal, if choosing the sewn foot box option on the Burrow, they are the same price, so it comes down to a coin toss. Unless you want a colour other than the all black of the Warbonnet. One can't go wrong with either choice.
yep apples to oranges right there. i have the 3 season mamba and a stormcrow underquilt (plus a summer top quilt being made). i still can't really tell who i like more
You're really lucky in this case since you can't really go wrong - both are equally awesome!

It seems like an obvious answer but I'll ask it any way. What is the difference in utility and comfort in a open / cinchfoot box and a sewn one? Which do you prefer?
the sewn is nice in that it's always there, no haggling etc. it is always sealed and always does its job. the open footbox would be my choice (and is) for summer/hot temps. it is possible to leave it somewhat open so that the feet can vent. some people enjoy this for 3 season as well (my buddy finskie). if I were buying a winter topquilt i'd get the footbox sewn...
I've gotten my winter mamba down to 3*F. So the rating is accurate for 0*F. I'm more of a cool sleeper but I have to say warbonnet's ratings are spot on for me.
That being said I have a hammock gear summer top quilt and the workmanship is awesome too. Giving it it's debut end of June I hope.
