Sometimes I hike with a lady friend. And on those occasions, I like to sleep on the ground because....well, you can probably figure out why.
Being on a limited budget, it occurred to me that it might be nice to have a hammock tarp that could also pull double-duty as a tarptent. At first glance, it seems the Mammajamba (with its removable doors) might be just the ticket. Can anybody confirm this? Can the Mammajamba + doors be pitched extremely low to/on the ground, thus becoming a fully-functional tarptent? Or are there other factors I'm not considering?
Thanks!
