She fell asleep in it while complaining ...LOL!

Took both my Warbonnet BB 1.1 Dbl and My HH Expedition Asym out for quick hang/tune-up and She Who Must Be Obeyed finally came with me to see what I have been yammering on about, and was curious to see if she would like lying in a hammock.

Began complaining she couldn't get in (warbonnet), then said, "Hey, that was pretty easy! (Bugnetting up out of the way).

Then complained that she probably could never sleep in one ..... and promptly fell dead asleep for about 20 minutes while I fussed with the Hennessy!

Now she MAY be willing to come hang for a day - but not overnight yet.

She liked the Warbonnet better than the HH, so I may be selling the Hennessy to help pay for another Blackbird for her.

It's funny when people with preconceived ideas about hammock finally get in a good one for a while - can you say "convert"?

That's awesome. My wife just did her first overnight in a hammock and she fell asleep like a baby. She was convinced as well she would not like it but it was quite the opposite. She did'ent want to get up in the AM she was so warm and cozy with my hammock gear quilts and my WBBB. Well I guess it's time for both of us to starting buying gear for our ladies.
Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.

The funny part was, she seemed more interested in the different suspension methods I used (whoopie, garda hitch, and cinch buckles), and the stoves I had then (BushBuddy, Soto Microregulator, White Box Alchy). Once she was able to get in the hammock, she was okay. HAd a small problem getting out, but I have to hang it a bit higher for her.

It would be nice if she came out for a hang now and then. She's not a bug person, so I think it would be infrequent, but she seemed to take to the WBBB pretty well!

The Missus is a stolid woman, and views hanging as too different (ie. freaky) to be taken seriously as a sleep option for camping--but I'm working on her .

It's awesome that She Who Must Be Obeyed has taken that first step! Who knows? One day she may just dictate, "Come on. We're going hanging." Well... she MUST be obeyed .

She fell asleep in the hammock and was interested in camping gear. Oh yeah, she's one of us but just doesn't know it yet.

RE: SHMBO. Pretty sure H. Rider Haggard used it first; one of those "Men's Adventure' novels set in Africa- lost cities, ancient civilizations, unknown deities of terrible aspect, etc.
