Tarp with flaps, suppliers & web addresses please

    Hi all,

I love my Hennessy Hex tarp (coyote brown), but after a wet & windy weekend, I'm looking for something that will offer a little more protection form driving rain!

Is it possible to retro fit flaps that fold in at the ends? If not, where can i get a the tarp from that has end flaps that fold in?

If it could still be in coyote brown even better

    Thanks

    James

There's the Gargoyle Gear Ogee Tarp, lots of options, good coverage and door/flaps a-plenty.
    Good luck,

    Removable Grizz Beak

Assuming you are from Hayworth West Yorks, then yes, you really know about driving rain! There is a fairly simple DIY fix for hex hammocks

    http://www.hammockforums.net/forum/s...ad.php?t=11785

That way you don't have to dump your Hennessy hex tarp.

If you have difficulty getting SIlnylon, it would probably work quite well with ripstop nylon (cheaper too) and spray on water-proofing as it wouldn't matter if there is some penetration, the water would just drain down and drip to the ground, inside or out.

If you have an inexpensive 12x12 (ca. 4mx4m) then you could do this:

    which might serve the purpose.

    Thumbs up

To retro an existing tarp ... Grizz Beaks from 2QZQ ... hands down a great option and well made products

    Superfly all the way mate

Teepee (turnerminator on here) retro fitted some doors to his DD last year, it looked smart when I saw it up at Loch Sween back in March.
