    Hi from Kentucky

    Hey all,

I have never camped in a hammock, but my wife is getting me one for Fathers day. I am so excited, and can't wait! I have been a Bushcrafter/camper/backpacker for some time now, and after watching Shug's videos I think hanging is the way to go. He speaks highly of this community so I thought I would join up and learn all I can to make my experiance as good as it can be. I hope to learn a lot from everyone here, and hopefully share some of the little I know. I will have to ask that you excuse my horrable spelling. A little of my background is I am a coal miner, and a Freewill Baptist Preacher, from the hills of Kentucky, who has camped, hunted, fished, and basicly grew up ing the woods. I come from a long proud line of coal miners, in an area where at times you have to hunt to eat. I deeply enjoy getting out and seeing the wonders God has created for us, and shearing those wonders with my friends and family. I do tend to be long winded sometime, sorry about that it comes for being a preacher.

Well I hope to get to know the folks around here and start learning.

Thank you, for reading this, and God bless!
Brain under construction! Please excuse my spelling!

Thanks shug, you are a big reason I am so interested in hanging, I love your videos, and you are a very talented musition and preformer. I am a big fan of bluegrass, and I never understood why the "bluegrass state" has so few bluegrass radio stations. Keep on keepin' on buddy, God bless!

Welcome fellow 'Tuck! God Bless and enjoy, remember in a hammock, not only do you get to see the wonders above ya, you can also get a look at what is underneath ya.... somethin a ground rafter can't do!
.... the Aardvark (earth pig)... a rather unremarkable creature whose sole claim to fame is that it is the first animal listed in the dictionary.

Welcome from a South Carolinian, originally from the hills of Southeastern Kentucky. Strap yourself in because you're getting ready for a great ride. If there's anything you need to know as you start this journey, just ask. Someone on here has done it and probably has a video.
He is your friend, your companion, your defender... he is your dog. You are his life, his leader, and master. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of that devotion.
