Well dutch, I'm not a snob but I do kinda know my stuff! Haha. I actually don't. When I found out about the top cover it was already late and dark so I figured I'd leave it be, rather than go over to your hammock and bug your family. On top of that, worlds great hiker! You got celeb status, that's intimidating. You're like Oprah, of the hammock world. Rich in titanium.

I'd love to see a video if you get around to it. Where does the omni tape stick to? I'm assume right above the zipper?

I third the Bear Burrito Oven. Got one mostley for the wife because if moma's not happy while hanging then no one is happy. Got here one in coyote brown to match her BB hammock. While it blends in very nicley I think I should have gotten a contrasting color to make it easier to see if it needs adjusting.

Actually the dwr has done very little for me because I use a pretty big tarp so I don't rally get spray, but a little snow.
Thanks for your reply Dutch. Looking forward to your DYI Top Cover Vid when you get a chance to put one together.

Another vote for the BBO. It is a good idea and easier to vent than I had originally thought. I have one for both of my birds...

I was thinking the same thing when I went out the other night. What made it even worse was the UQ was also coyote brown. I couldn't find the ends of anything. Contrast might be a good thing.

Are you guys running these covers along with tarps ? No issues with condensation with breathing?

In certain weather there are issues with condensation with breathing. But you can just open it up a bit.

I was out last week and used mine. The overnight low was 26* and no condensation inside. I did have ice on the outside of my tarp though. I have had condensation with temps in that range before, but I was pleasantly surprised when I got up with none last week.
I'm hoping it will be warmer tomorrow night and I can leave the BBO in my pack...
