When you discard arrogance, complexity, and a few other things that get in the way, sooner or later you will discover that simple, childlike, and mysterious secret known to those of the Uncarved Block: Life is Fun.
I'm still interested in paddle partners and carpools myself before I worry about rentals.
Ryver sent me a PM this morning and we are going to pair up and carpool up as well.

Love the red and orange trees! Smooth seas be with you all (or should that be smooth lakes)!

**** looks like i am going to miss another ontario hang. But i am already booked in for two Geocaching events that weekend. One is a 30 km hike on the Bruce trail ( not missing that one) and the other is the Gps adventure maze event at Ontario science center.
I was thinking to do a weekend hang at my halibuton property (free camping). and i am looking into a island that i found near my cottage for a island hang weekend. need to find out if i can camp on the island first (another free camping weekend). and i was thinking of doing another weekend trip. I had a geocaching friend place 40 caches along a remote logging trail. basically it is a geocaching power trail ( multiple caches along one section of a trail) that requires o over night. So i naturally thought of doing a Ontario Hang. I can find out more info from my friend about the hike in to these caches. they are on crown land so the camping is free for Canadians .
Have a great time this weekend looking forward to the trip report.
sorry to hear that your wife's grandmother is not doing well. having just lost my Mom in March this year and two uncles. i still have good and bad days.
Hope all is well. my prayers are with you.
