I'll go rain or shine for sure. I just don't have as much experience on the water as I do on land in bad weather so I wanted to know if there was a point where we needed to consider other options is all. I'm happy to get wet by rain or lake water. I wrinkle as good as anyone.

Well, little andrewh has come down with a fairly bad cold. It's pretty doubtful that we'll be heading out Thursday -- right now we're hoping he's feeling well enough that we can show up on Friday with the rest of the group. He'll be devastated if he can't make the trip; since the last time we got together, he (and kristyh as well) has started hanging!

Here's the setup for the 3 of us a couple of weeks ago in Frontenac:

Wishing the little guy a speedy recovery.

Chard if you get time before the trip can you pm or email the permit number?

Sorry to hear that... As soon as the little buggers get in school around all of those kids, you can bet a bug will come home.

Anyways, we'll cross our fingers as well. Hopefully andrewh will feel better and you guys can join us. Give him a big hug from us!!!

    Dry and Warm

    Hey Guys

The weather forecast for your trip isn't the most ideal and as seems the norm with Ontario group hangs your gear will get a thorough wet weather test.

I hope everyone has good rain gear that will keep them dry both on the inside and outside. A dry suit comes to mind for Friday.

Have fun, be safe and I look forward to the trip report come next week.

    Cheers

    Brian

    Thanks Brian,

One of these days I'd really like to test the system's ability to withstand dry heat with gentle breezes.

    I can only dream...

Unfortunately it isn't going to happen for us... the little guy's asthma is under control now but of course he still has a cold... the rain, cold, portaging, etc. would be way too much for him in this state. And most of all, we really don't want to be too far from medical assistance when he's at a higher risk for an asthma attack...

I hope everybody has a great time, and hopefully I can meet up with familiar faces and meet some new people at the next one!
