    Cuben Fiber

Trying to track down some Cuben fiber....

I've googled 'Cuben Fiber' and keep coming up against the 'NorthSails' website. Tried ebay, but no luck.

Anyone know where I can actually buy enough of the material to make a tarp the same shape as the stock Hennessy model? Or, alternatively, anyone know someones who makes one to fit a Hennessy Hyperlite? I don't even know if the stuff is commercially available for the public to purchase in the US let alone Australia.

You could also contact hammockgear.com or zpacks.com with the specs and I'm sure they'll be able to quote you something.

I believe the gear manufacturers all get their cuben fiber from cubictechnology.com, look under the CTF^3 product line.

You'd need to contact them about shipping to Austrailia.
I can tell you that the last time I bought from them (about a year ago) the minimum order size was 9m (which is a little more than you need for a tarp) and that they insist on shipping it on a heavy roll, no folding. Pretty heavy.

I just got a quote from them yesterday. Think I'll stick with the sil for now. It was the CT0.3K.08 and was a little over $18.00 yd, if I remember correctly.
