I had my first successful hang in August 2011. I had such a good time and I am really enjoying the hammocking. I have some more to learn but that's part of the fun.
So many people on here have helped me learn so much about hammocking and making my own gear. I have listed as many as I can remember here:
The BlackCat Tarp instructions by BlackBishop351
REALLY big help for making my tarp. I am very happy with it – it works really well.
Just Jeff's Hiking Page
I read many helpful hints but for sure you helped me with my DIY hammock and a BlackBishop sack I made
gear-report.com
many useful pictures, instructions, and diagrams – another big help with my tarp
I am planning to use the diy gravity filter instructions at some point
I also made the snakeskins
BackwoodsDaydreamer –sclittlefield.
Very good and easy to follow instructions for the IX underquilt. So far this is working well for me.
Also used the diagrams for reinforcements for tarps

I really liked your guylines w/ lineloks. Your video was very helpful too. I put them on my tarp and I really do like how they work.

I really like to watch your videos about gear and where you hike and camp.
Thank you to all of you and to everyone who has shared their information and experience with others. Kat
