#2 This time for the kids

Allright after I purchased my ENO and then made my own hammock my 5 year old son and my 3 year old daughter were convinced that they needed and wanted their own hammock. Well finally payday came around and a trip to the fabric store. My son of course wanted camouflage, not disappointed kinda proud actually, and my daughter wanted purple. So I got 2 yards of each. I figured that a little under 6 feet long would be great for them. Well as soon as I got home and we ate supper I decided to get started on my daughters first. I will admit I am a little bit more proud of my sewing job on this one. It took me about 2 hours but I finished it and she loves it. Hopefully I am going to try something new just a little test on my sons. It should be done tomorrow. Oh well enough babbling here is the picture of the purple one. It is about 5'/10" and the average 56"-59" wide (A little bit wider than they need but hey it isn't that bad they think it is a caterpillar cocoon.) More pictures to follow after I finish my sons.

Good job. If the kids aren't looking, it can double duty as Dad's hammock chair/gear hammock.

Allright, so after I finished the first hammock I had a brilliant idea. I thought what if I didnt have to sew a hem. Personally I hate to do hems and I am not really that good. So I thought what if I use a ribbon like material that will fold over the side (okay I had been considering this a few days ago after watching a video for a diy tarp), so I found a color that looked good with it. So here it is all finished, it is about 5' 10" long and the average width. You can't see him but my son is actually hidden in the first picture and oh yeah that is my sewing buddy ( I know she is ugly but she helps me while everybody else is sleeping).
