Sitting at work in the middle of the ocean with nothing else to do but think. I am just curios how hard it would be to integrate a peapod and hammock in to one system? Don't flame me to bad just thinking.

I don't see a thing wrong with it. I have thought of it too. The only problem with it is that it would tie up ones setup permanently. It sure would be handy though.
The present moment is eternal. I would rather be Here, Now.
It would be very handy. I think if it where done right it could be used for all 4 seasons though.
Here ya go guys!

That is similar to what I was thinking. I wish that one was down filled though.
When I velcro my Snugfit to my Speer Hammock, toss in a Speer Top Blanket, and close the top with a shortened Speer Bugnet, it is essentially an insulated hammock, which can be disassembled.

So mac what you are saying is you velcro your underquilt instead of hang it?
It has both velcro and a suspension... the Speer Hammock has velcro for attaching the bugnet. It is also used to attach the edges of the Snugfit, which serves to eliminate edge leaks. The Snugfit has a shock cord suspension as well. Since it has elastic mesh ends, the hammock is completely covered by the Snugfit, like a PeaPod without a top.
The Snugfit repeats the hammock velcro on it's outer edge, so you can use the Speer Bugnet. I use the bugnet, or a similar sized piece of nylon with velcro on it's edges, as an uninsulated top to close the Snugfit like a PeaPod.
Last January, I combined the Snugfit with a PeaPod to make a SnugPod.
Once the Snugfit is rigged on your hammock, you can leave it there for the whole season! Too bad it's no longer made...![]()

My winter setup uses a down insulated hammock inside an insulated sock that fastens over the cords at the hammock ends with velcro and ties. It stays assembled, so it's functionally a one-piece unit. One of the best things about it is the top-center zipper for entry/exit. I'll use that on the next integrated hammock/sock I make.
I like that snugpod a lot mac. Wv do you have any pics of your setup? Now the wheels are turning thanks guys.
