    Jacks 'R' Better Suspension System

The complete hammock suspension system that Jacks 'R' better is selling seems like a great deal. Do yall think its cheaper to go DIY or just buy this setup? Thanks for the help.

DIY is cheaper, but your time is valuable, too. This is a great deal. I make all my own stuff, but if I didn't have all the components of a set like this already, even I would buy one.

While that is a complete system from JRB, this is also one at half the price. While tri-glides and straps are not as in vogue as whoopie slings, it'll work with about any hammock setup and the weight... is actually LESS.

Yeah noticed the tri-glide set after I posted. Half the price and weighs less. I might just go with that.

I've used my tri-glide set up with s-hooks, biners and cinch buckles. It can adapt to all of them. While they are not as trendy as other systems at the moment, they are very light and exceptionally durable while remaining adjustable.

Noobie here - I just noticed that the photo on JRB shows the Dutch biner between the hammock loop and the whoopie sling, and the whoopie sling attached directly to the strap.

How is the whoopie sling attached to the strap? I used the Dutch biner to connect the sling and the strap, and I just looped the hammock loop and the whoopie sling together. Should I change this?

If you look at the center pic, you'll see that the eye of the sling is larksheaded around the tree hugger and the adjustable side is toward the hammock, connected by the biner.

I love all my JRB products...except tri-glides. I would avoid them at all cost.

    Can you explain why?

The only negative I see is the extra webbing when I have closer trees.

    Thanks.
    Love my JRB BMB
