After many hours with a second rate sewing machine and then finally a ancient singer machine I finished my first hammock. I realize that my sewing really needs help but I am pretty proud that I actually finished it and it didn't tear. It is 1.9 oz calendered rip stop. The dimensions are around 10' long and around 60" wide (go figure that is what everybody recommends so why not) So here it is nothing fancy.
Congrats samwise...lookin good! Doesn't it feel good to finish up a DIY? I hope you're pleased with it. It's hard to stop after just one.Happy hangin!

A little concerned about the lateral stitching in the hammock material near the ends weakening the fabric. Can I ask why it's there?
