    Wow!

HammockForums has been the only forum I'd ever frequented. I was just browsing another subject forum to remain nameless and read a post where the guy SLAMMED another guy so bad! Told him he was a broken record and that he should try to contribute to the conversation. DANG!!! That's cold.

Did I mention I'm so happy to be here!!!

This is easily the best online forum I have participated in (better than most in person groups I've joined!)- and the only one in which I actively look for opportunities (hangs) to meet the real-life people behind the comments.

Moderators thanks for keeping our forum 'streets' safe.

Members, thanks for creating a culture in this forum that makes hammock newbs like me feel welcome.

    Forum

This and WhiteBlaze are two of the best forums for being polite to each member.

This forum is why I now own a hammock by the way.

I think part of it has to do with the nature of the people that frequent the forum. A group of 'outdoorsy' people that are older in age will likely be more respectful of others opinions than a group of wannabe rap stars.

I'm not sure, but I suspect that my mom's sewing forums don't get too many ranters in the threads.

Yep...I load up my walker and hike over to the computer when things are slow over at the "Ensure" Hall

Ever since I got put on laxatives and blood thinners my moodiness semms ta have went away.

Most of us old folks arent allowed to go to the day room and gett on the computer after 7pm ever since some body left Lawrence Welk on all night.

I tried hanging my hammock betweenst to IV poles but the echo cables wont reach.

An ever since Matt Dillon past things aint the same on the tube.

Reckon I will log onto Hammock Forums an see what the other older folkes is dooing.....guess it "Depends" though.

just an attemtp at some humor....

seems to me I see little negativity but sometimes a "wonder why you are doing that" is taken that way.

I have gotten only a great place to get information and help with a subject that I am just learning has many different facets as to how people enjoy this loverly thing we call hanging. I am a convert from tent camping because of the positivity of this forum and currently sleep in a hammock from one of the great vendors that participate in this site. Even were I to go back to a tent**not likely**I would still stay a member here because of the wealth of knowledge and people willing to actually help each other out...a rare commodity these days ^_^ what more can I say than that this is an awesome forum to be a member of!!
