I like how you designed them so they totally overlap and how you keep them closed. A definite wind stopper.

When the hammock sags the strap just slides down between the two sides and doesn't leave too much of a gap. And when the wind gets gusty, the doors have enough overlap that they can move without opening. I think there will be a lot of different ways to pitch the doors, but my main concern is to stop the rain when it gets horizontal. So...I imagine that they will usually be either rolled up and out of the way, or battened down in full storm mode.

I've got a real good deal on a set of very bright lime green doors if anyone's interested.

you'll be hearing from the Jacks shortly I'm sure. They do like eye-ball burning green...

The thought of two different blistering greens mixed up in the same place is unimagineable! New Park rules: Dogs must be on leases; no pooping in the streams; no mixed greens!

Dont laugh... I happened upon a down quilt at a yard sale... $5.00... color - shades of laughable pink and orange.. mmmmmmmmmmm sure did keep me worm at 26 last weekend.. and yes, I took some ribbing from the rest of the guys. One did say, "got a little cold last night".

Send me your address and I will ship them to you for the price of a picture of them attached to your "blue hammock and pink quilt". And I also want the right to publish that picture here on HF for all the meaningful world to see. This combination has the potential for bear repellant qualities, or, at least, will insure that you won't have to worry about over-crowded campsites.
