Hang'in Scout
Hi HS.
I youtubed a vid. Scrounged up some polypro (1/2) braid. Made a "fishline/wire needle/thing you put the rope end in" out of tiewire. You could use a metal clotheshanger in good size rope. Then just started doing it. Works great and they hold me up, but they are temporary. I will grab you a link.

Thanks man

Finished (for now). I rushed at the end and changed some things, and didn't have all the stuff I needed, so I compromised. Bugnet is sewn on one side, zips on climb-in side. Hurried to go on kayak trip, and after 2 miles, the creek was piped under a farmer's fields. Ended up pulling kayak through head high grass, then through the woods for 4 hours. I pulled the plug.

First... your gear looks awesome
Second... your hammock has 1/2 bugnet...1/2 overcover.... any particular reason??
My memory's not as sharp as it used to be. Also, my memory's not as sharp as it used to be.
Thanks bdbart. I had a full overcover cut and hemmed. The bugnet was just shy of long enough to make the length. So I went with the half and half. However, today I got some freebies, including a monster table for the singer, and a giant, brand new outdoor screen pavilion. So... I gotta make another couple hammocks the way I wanted to make this one. And finish the quilt with built in pillow...and a new tarp...and a new bimini top and upholstery for a boat... sheesh lol. I am gonna make a process, cause I keep making mistakes in the order of sewing. Then I sew crooked seams.
