    Hello! From Central Minnesota!

Hello all... first off great site!!! I first hung from a tree to sleep last year from my son's Scout Master at a camping trip... he had a hammock and said i could use it one of the nights. "Very nice!!" was my first thought... next camping trip he had a WB (one that is asymmetrical) hammock and asked if i wanted to try that ...and of course i said YES! The rest is history i guess... this past Fathers day my wife and kids gave me HH Expedition... since i knew i was going to get it i went and got a few carabiners and some climbing rings for easy attachment to trees (found that tip on this site from one of the members ... great tip and thanks!). We liked the HH so much that we bought another for my oldest son last week and should be here this Friday!). We will be taking a trip up to the BWCAW end of August and we camp about once per month. I made some modifications to the HH today (Ridgeline and Suspension Guy lines... not sure if that is the correct terminology!) and took a nice nap in it for the first time... Anyways this is a great site and i'm looking forward to all the input and the years of Hanging ahead of me!

welcome from SC. and I also use the rings and biner method on my hennessy. In my opinion it is alot faster and easier. I hope you enjoy it here
Dale Gribble: I'm thinking, "new hammock." For me, laying and swaying in a hammock is like a steady morphine drip without the risk of renal failure.

Randy : yea but just remember yer roots and where ya come from....you got Hennessy in yer blood son......

Yeah.. The biner and rings solution is great! I remember that it took so long to set up stock that I was like "there has to be a better way!" And when I saw that I was like "thats the ticket!"...so far so good...highly recommend!

I'll post pictures for sure.....I'm stoked about it!

And roseville...thats close! ....send me a pm sometime...maybe we can get together and swap war stories.....even tho mine are limited atm

Welcome from the big city of Circle Pines, MN...
I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.
