....Let me know when the Atlanta hangers are hanging and maybe I can get out there or if you want to head up this way maybe we can get together. BTW thanks for the info on Amicalola and Springer mountain, that's within an hour from my house.

I know that myself and a couple of buddies are planning a hang when it cools off a bit. I will post that trip and maybe we can (and by we I mean the hangers) can set up on Springer Mtn. and convert some thru-hikers to hammocks for their trip. I know the last time I was there, the guys in the shelter saw our set up and said... "I know those guys in the hammock were WARMER than we were in the shelter"

It got down to about 15* that first night and the guys in the shleter said they FROZE...

LOL Oh well.

You didn't scare me off, just working alot lately. Made another new hammock then my wife decided she likes it so she brought me a new ENO Doublenest...so she could keep the last one I made. Figures huh?

When we have a solid plan, I will post it in the Atlanta Hangers.
For now the tentative plan is as follows....

March or April we plan on a one week hike up the AT or Benton Mackaye (sp) trail.. we will be as ultralight as possible and we plan on a shuttle from my wife to drop off and pick up 50-60 miles up the AT.

we plan on a couple of car-camping weekends in September to August range (again depending on when the heat lets up) to test UQs and different arrangements... I will post those "dry-run" testing-the-gear trips as well.
