    Hh Mod

I want to change my HH to an adjustable webbing suspension. Oldgringo hooked me up with the Onrope buckles. I need the straps with loop already sewn and carabiners. Where can I get them asap?

Also, what should I get for hanging my hammock independently?

Chad, if you haven't already done so, check out the stickied Crazy Creek/Cinch Buckle thread at the top of this board. The Onrope buckles are identical to the Crazy Creek items.

Those onrope cinch buckles are great. Are people using a slipped half hitch behind it for security? Last trip I intentionally didn't and never had any slipping. Should note that on each night my hammock was over smooth ground so no risk of injury if they slipped.

Nope, rock solid. If they were unreliable in any way, I doubt that they'd be rated for life support.

I have never had one slip even a bit as long as I made sure all was lined up correctly. Making sure that the center/movable bar is not even a little crooked. ONE time long ago I had one end slip on me. taking me slowly to the ground as I sat down. But it was a sloppy "cinch" job. Never one time since over a few years.
