I have skiis that you can borrow.
I have a childrens pulk also but it is not so fun to pull in deep snow.
It always falls on the side.......

Alcohol stoves in cold are not so very effecient(?).
    I will use firewood.
In my woodkitchen and maybe as usual firewood.

I think it's alright for morning coffee, if it's not to cold.
But i don't think you want that to cook your meals in -20C .

But as i said before, there is always a fire to cook on!

Alcohol doesn't vaporize well in freezing temperatures, so for best performance in cold weather, the stove should be heated. Trangia sells a winter attachment for Trangia alcohol stoves that places a cup of alcohol under the stove. It may seem surprising to heat a stove with what is in effect another stove, but it is a simple and effective technique.

The biggest downside to unpressurized alcohol stoves is that they only produce about half the heat output of a white gas, butane or propane stove. This means cooking times are slower and you need to carry more fuel.

I've had little time to plan/test/pack or post about the lack of it so far this year. I'll probably end up throwing everything I can think of in the car on my way out the door. I think I have two things left to borrow or shop for: a convenient shovel and a good wool balaclava.

For insulation I'm planning to use an Exped down mat in between my hammock layers in addition to my hammockgear over and under quilts. That together with wool on my body will hopefully be enough to not freeze to death.

I doubt I'll be able to drive all the way in one go (both because of fatigue and gas stations opening hours) so I'll probably try to find a decent hanging spot along the way. Any suggestions?

    He is alive

Wasn't your Hammock gear quilts winter version ?

I think it's good if you don't drive it all in one stint, that's how people die !
    What's the best route ?
Are you mainly driving in Norway or Sweden ?

Since you probably will go along the E45 through most part of Sweden you will probably have thousands of nice hanging spots. E45 is mainly going through big forests so there should be hanging spots everywhere.
