I was wondering if there were any hangers in the Cascade and Magney State Park area? I will be there with BackpackingZombie and maybe another? If interested PM me or BZ...sorry short notice

I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.

Sorry, but I know SHT to mean Sierra High Trail. What trail do you mean? The Sierra High trail is currently under 10 feet of snow, so I am sure you do not mean that one.
Superior Hiking Trail? I looked up something on the net. Bully for me to use this magical place.
Superior Hiking Trail.
We'll be hiking from North Carlson Pond to South Bally Creek over three days.
When it seems like the night will last forever
And there's nothing left to do but count the years
When the strings of my heart start to sever
And stones fall from my eyes instead of tears
I will walk alone by the black muddy river
And dream me a dream of my own

Have a great time guys. Looking forward to the trip report.

Looks like Rice 'n' Beans got tomorrow off work. That means we won't have to setup camp in the dark

So this trip started off with all the makings of a great trip decent temps in the 60's, rainfall predicted to be less than .09 inches and cool nights. Well that didn't quite go as planned; rain, sun, rain, and oh my god gale force winds that was snapping birch trees. Sunday Kimbell Creek we ran into some fellow hammockers from the forums(Hanging Yankee and his boys) and some mist...Next day it was awesome a decent hike to Devils Kettle (10+ miles before 3:30):camped at South Balley Creek clear night 48degrees. Following morning overcast and breezy (30+mph winds) setup at Oberg Mountain and battened down, then it rain until the next day...ran into town the following morning for a nice breakfast at Blue Fin hoping the rain would stop no such luck...called off early: learned that extra tie outs are necessary, ravens will dive bomb and then poop on you, and no matter how much you think you are prepared you are never prepared...Hopefully BackpackingZombie will upload and I will try to do the same...but it was fun and had a blast, I guess i can say a trips success falls on memories over mileage, but both are nice.
