    Math help for a DIY project

    I need to figure out a length of a cylinder
    I know the volume (800ci) and the radius, (1.5")
    I need to know the height/length
    If:
    V=3.14 x r2 x h
    800ci = 3.14 x 2.25 x h
    800 = 7.065 x h
    or 800/7.065 = h
    h = 113.23"

    ? ? ?

    Thanks eh

    Checks out to me. if you use PI to a few more digits you get h=113.17" But maybe Pi = 3.14 in Canada....

    Edited to let that statement stand by itself as ontological proof of it's truth.

    113.177 Inches

    Pi * r ^ 2 * h = v

    Pi * 1.5 ^2 * h = 800

    h = v / ( Pi * r ^2 )

    h = 800 / (Pi * 1.5 ^2)

    h = 800 / 7.06858

    h = 113.177

    ( really roughly: )
    h = ~ 113 3/16

    I think it is a little more than 113, but I didn't use math. It came to me in a premonition.
