    The Bear Taco is Reborn!

Well, after the sad demise of its predecessor,
    beartaco.jpg

the Bear Taco lives once again, reborn in multicam. I finished sewing it up last night. It's a simple double layer hammock. It has sewn end channels and a whoopie sling suspension. I build the hammock stand too, following JJtheDog's design hammock forums (thanks JJtheDog).

This hammock is super super comfortable. Between my weight loss and heavier fabric there is a vast improvement over the first bear taco. I lay flat and there is no noticeable stretch. Eventually I'm going to install a ridgeline, bugnet, and zippers. Or I just may make another one with those addons and leave this one spartan.

So far the initial focus group has given great reviews:

Very nicely done on both the taco shell and the stand. The filling is too cute to be offering up to the bears though.

I'm sure the look on the kids' faces, alone was worth the effort!

That rip along with the rocks underneath, has to be one of the scariest hammock pictures I have seen.

Nice job on the new version.
