    adventures in Tyvek

So with a few yards of Tyvek, I have gotten a little handy. I have made a simple stuff sack for my DIY hammock (video review to come), a ridge line pocket for said hammock, and most recently a ground cloth/ pack cover inspired by JustJeff's all-in-one gear hammock. looks like these items have the durability to last a couple seasons at best but the weight savings is great!

Yeah, getting my 3 month old hooked early. She's a tough critic but she loves the DIY hammock, and hangin' with Dad

    Nice work

Looks good, Trauma. Where did you get the Tyvek? :0)
Be honest...could I sew this stuff or should I bribe someone to do it for me?

Tyvek sews quite well, just use a universal needle and a long stitch length...

    Nice job on the stuff!

So my buddy was doing an addition to his house and I grabbed a bunch if extra. Running out now so I'm on the hunt.

    Hey, TraumaRN

I have never worked with Tyvek so this will be my first project.
    Octagonal tarp:
DIY Tarp Idea... Save some fabric?

You can see my pics on page 7 of what I have so far.

My question is since you seem to have quite a bit of experience in working with Tyvek, is a rolled hymn really needed or can I just fold it once. Does tyvek fray like ripstop? So far it does not seem to, so I am wanting to only fold it one time instead of twice.

    I would love you thoughts.
