Hello Everybody

Just wanted to introduce myself and thank you all for the loads of good information on the site. I am completely new to hammocks/hammock camping.

I recently started my DIY hammock which is made of 1.9 ripstop with a rolled hem from Joann's, para-cord whipping, and 1" Poly-pro webbing. Now I just need a tarp and bug-netting.

The hammock went together fine, although the webbing slipped towards the whipping during the first hang.

Welcome showme! Congrats on starting right off the bat with a DIY project. It always feels great to finish one. Did you figure out a solution to your suspension issue? Perhaps if you elaborated on your webbing slippage someone could help solve this. Happy hangin!
