I imagine the results would change if they had used a "real hammock"...more even distribution of pressure over the hammock fabric, etc. Who knows, perhaps the results would be even more dramatic.
It's nice to know, however, that science agrees with us, even I don't have a 4 second rocking motion for most of my hammock time.

I've always had issues sleeping in a tent.. I get the sleep I need in, but I always woke up sore, or tired. Since I switched to hammocks, I feel refreshed and much better off.
i have noticed that my mayan hammock swings more than my brazilian, i also fall asleep faster in it.
I want to find a device to keep my indoor hammock swinging gently all night. Then I can get some serious zzzz's.
