I have a Traveler 1.7 double .... and no issue there. I also have a DIY Jerry5 that I made with a single layer 1.7 .... have never been bitten through it either.

With both my WBBB double layers (1.7, 1.0) this has not been a problem for me and where I am from, the mosquitos are the size of little birds. I also use a UQ much of the time which makes the issue moot.

I've not experienced bite through on my WBBB 1.7 DL. I've camped in areas where the mosquito were so thick you inhaled them in almost every breath.

Have been sleeping in a dbl 1.7 for over a year and even slept over some pretty mosquito infested lands and have not experienced any issues with bites through my WBBB. Now outside of it is a different story
Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.

I am bite free in my 1.7 dbl. I have woke some mornings with skeeters resting outside on the skeeter net asking if I want to come out and play.
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !

I've never had a problem, but I soak it in permethrin right before the buggiest part of the season.

You're talking about a 1.7 single, right? In that case I don't think your experience with Mosquitos will be any better than with a Hennessy.

Not a problem though, just treat with permethrin or get a double layer.
