    How to use this foot???

    Hi guys

Anybody know how to use this foot? I think it's used to make edge seems an easy job - something i need. But really have no clue how to make it work

It's for my trusty old Pfaff model 91

It is a "handkerchief" hem foot. Used mostly for chiffon and other very light very flexible fabrics where a tiny little rolled hem is desired. For example the hem of a wedding dress etc. I have never been able to get those things to work worth a darn. Nor has my wife. She can roll and sew a handkerchief hem by hand faster than she can change the foot. But that's what it is.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

Thanks RR, i've been trying to use it for the last couple of hours - but keep messing up, glad to hear even the pro's can't make it work

Edit: Thanks Pip, that made it a lot clearer, but i'm still a bit confused - do have to fold it before i "place it in the foot"?

Bought one off EBay that was supposed to work for my Brother machine. Never did do what it was supposed to do. Bought one at the local sewing shop made by Brother and it works fine. BUT- practice with some scrap material a few times before you go to use it on the real thing.

That is one talented lady there Rev. I wonder if that foot would be useful for silnylon or cuben fiber since they seem to be whispy light and slippery.
