I certainly can't be called an expert (yet), but I have an ENO DN and I don't think you can go wrong with it for the price. Especially as a first hammock.

I own a couple of Grand Trunk Hammocks and have been very happy with them thus far.
you can get a Grand Trunk Parachute Nylon Hammock - Double from SunnySports for $42.95
(they change their prices all the time, mention the 42.95 price and they will give it to you for that,
add something else to bring your total to $50 to get free s&h).
I have the single version of it and it is very well made and fits my 5'10" 190 lbs frame.
the Grand Trunk double measures: 10'6" x 6'6"
the Eno Double measures...........: 9'10" x 6'8"
Wow,that's a considerable length difference. Now I just have to figure out which would fit me better. I think I ruled out the ultralight as I tend to move around in my sleep some, so having some extra room is probably not a bad idea.
I have an ENO double and a GT double...put a blindfold on me, and I wouldn't be able to tell which is which. Go with the best price or the prettiest color.

ENO definitely has the better color options, IMO. With the price on the GT being a little less this could be a tough decision.
+1 on the ENO DN. I tend to go on 'spin cycle' when I sleep, and I can wallow all over the thing w/o issue.
That said, you can't go wrong with either model...

I'm not high maintenance! I'm simply low tolerance.
I'm partial to the ENO cause I liked the color options. I got the double and it was big enough that I can just about fold it over the top of myself (I put the extras in the bag, which is attached and fold it over the top to hold it in place).
EMS has 20% one item this weekend. They have the ENOs.
I have the skeeter beeter pro and have been in it comfortably with another person and still had a little room. together we were pushing 360 lbs, she was around 6"1'.
