Pics from the trip. The spot is called greenwood point, and you can either hike in the 3.3 miles or boat to the place. All pics were taken right from the hammock. Lotsof lakeside trees to hang from. Great swimming and fishing.

Beauty of a spot! Are there any links to where you went on lake moomaw, or should one just google greenwood point?
Thanks for the pics!

back in my bicycle touring days, but it was a road access site. I will have to look this one up. How was the powerboat traffic?
Jim
Powerboats weren't bad but there is some traffic. Mostly fishers. I heard of the spot from hikingupward.com. its listed under the GW national forest section there. Im gonna hit this one again. The swimming at the end of the hike was so awesome.
