Will do. I'm definitely looking for some good local places to to hike/hang. I'm right in Waterford, grew up in Detroit and Wixom. I would love to meet up with some local folks!

I'm really looking forward to my upcoming trip. I've been wanting to get back outside, but have been nervous to just head out on an overnighter, just to find out than my back couldn't take it, and have to crawl out on my own. I think if I get 7 good nights in the hammock in Canada, I'll be good to go.

Welcome to HF from a former Michigander now located in Mass.

I slept in my hammock for the first time on Sunday, in the in-laws backyard. I slept later than anyone in the house! Also, I woke up for the first time in at least 3 years with zero back pain. Now I need to convince my wife that I should hang it in the house!
I have a feeling I'll get the best week's sleep on my upcoming trip...
