for the wife,,,I just normally take a couple of small green limbs with fork on one end each,,place it over the ridgeline and then to each end attach it to the loops of the netting and it keeps it up and out of the way without using the shock chord,,or you can use the shock chord and do the same same .

gotta admit, that tear has made me reconsider taking a spare hammock with me on trips. Worst thing I could think of is having my hammock crap out and have nothing else to hang in. Be forced to ground with no pad :/

I'm going to start carrying my GTUL hammock JIC
