Loved the triangle thingie for my underquilt, but I wanted to try to do without hardware. Saw one of the posts on the Amsteel Triangle, and got out the bag o stuff. Please note, my UQ (soon to be posted, the WUQII- Woobie UnderQuilt, Insulation integrated) is not heavy enough to warrant amsteel for suspension, but it was easier to use than mason line, carpal tunnel and all that).
Difficult part for me was trying to get 3 legs and an attaching loop, and came to this after a couple aborts. Quick geometry of it, eye splice, 11" bury, split legs 5" apart topped with nacrabiners, then stitch buried to secure. Really love that I can leave this attached to the 'mock and not suffer any size/weight impact of any import (to me, not yet graduated to the gram weanie stage).
Looking for the constructive criticism, already tested in the garage, works great!
