Hey everybody, I've been lurking for months now and I've finally jumped in. I've loved the outdoors since I was born, and became an avid dayhiker over a year ago. I'm into the UL and fast hiking mentality, and my dayhikes are usually 25+ miles. I finally have the parents permission (I'm only 16) to start taking multi-day trips! Hanging has appealed to me since I first discovered it, and I'm going to make my hammock using Knotty's instructions. I already have a MacCat Micro (I know it's small, but it suits my style), a Hammock Gear Summer Phoenix UQ (1 ounce overfill), and my suspension (whoopie slings). My TQ is an Enlightened Equipment Revelation. I have the fabric to make my hammock, now it's just time to go over to my aunt's house for some sewing help, and I'll be good to go!
Thanks for this great forum, I've learned a bunch already and I can't wait to learn more!
