Does anyone put things under their knees?

Hey there I was wondering if anyone found that they slept better with something under their knees? I feel like my knees lock out and can get soar at night. Anyone else experience this?

A very common experience. A clothes bag can help. I position my legs either "frog" style or "4" style. But I have found exhaustion works best to provide quick slumber.

I definitely need something under my knees. I use the Thermarest pillow and when i go to my side it goes up to my head.

I do sometimes...if it feels like it's needed. More often than not I use extra clothing or a down jacket in a stuff sack. If I do a "tight" pitch, it's more needed. If I do a "slack" pitch, it's not needed.

Yep, I usually use clothing in a stuff sack - a pillow at home.

Can get by w/o anything but much prefer a pillow or stuff sac with clothes under the knees. It goes between the knees when side sleeping.

Yes, if it's warm enough that I don't need everything to wear. But usually I'll just turn half way onto my side, kind of at a 45 degree angle. That's a nice thing you can do in a hammock that you can't do in a bed!

The first 2 nights in my indoor stand I had some trouble with sore knees. I had just hung the hammock between the ends of the stand. As 'beep' mentioned this left the hammock too tight, a ridgeline slacked the hammock and no problems since.
