BTW, you heard it here first - Tinny is the new owner of a WBBB 1.7 DL with Whoopies. He's easing into the Hammock thing at a slow, but fairly steady pace.

I will watch this thread for developments...
Yea Tinny! I'm looking forward to that video!

Where ever you guys want to go and when are no problems to me. I know that doesn’t answer any question at all but you people know the only two places that I stayed in New England.

OK so ideas of where are great.

I am also going to start another topic for the TCT hike/hang so make sure you dont mix up the two when making plans.

Depending on scheduling I would love to attend. During that time frame I have a ton a scout stuff. So it just depends on that.

I was all set the last time but "She who must be obeyed" wasn't thrilled about driving me to the trail head and having to get up at 2 a.m. to do it and make it back on time for work. I think I'll have to plan my ride better this time
Tell her there's chocolate in it *if* I can manage to get myself a break from building out and opening the store! (I close on the building on Tuesday, btw. Going to be a stark summer for hanging.)

I'll let her know She didn't believe me when I told her how good it was until she tried it I'd wish you luck with your endeavor but after trying your product I know luck will have nothing to do with it.

p.m. me when you know your fall workload can handle some time off. I'm still going to try to get up your way before winter for a weekend and spend a night or two outside. I just have to put her up someplace nice for the weekend

    Hey Veto!

Let us know how you're fixed for summer hanging time. Russ and I have some weekends we can put together in NY.

I'm in for all/both trips, obviously depending on life at the time! Would love to do the trail hike, and also love to hang with all of you again! Rilmoigan - tell Tinny he is a legend with this bunch, and will be treated as such! (Get him in the hammock!)

Summer is tough for me, but I think I could sneak away for a weekend in NY or wherever....

::aside:: I just modded my Cold Steel Trail hawk tomahawk by removing the head, reprofiling the face, and putting a patina on it. Just carrying the head gives me a TON of flexibility - as a splitting maul, a draw knife, a hatchet, a tomahawk, a hammer ..... LOVE it!

The Taconic crest is fun to hike, I'd be up for that. Grout pond is beautiful, definitely an awesome spot for a weekend hang. I was just there a couple days ago with my little boy, he even thought it was nice lol

Have you hiked the entire TCT? How plentiful is the water supply?

No, only about 4-5 miles of it or so. I have the same question as you because you are essentially hiking a ridge the whole time. Also, the part I have done I don't remember seeing any water...
