The positive about the hhss is that the hammock and ss minus the pad can be rolled up and stored in the snake skins. Dealing with the pad is another matter and takes some finesse.

I have two solutions, one for Summer, the other for Wet Coast fall and winter.
My summer solution is a 2 layer IX UQ I bought from MacEntryle. It is now being sold via Tree to Tree Trail Gear (www.tttrailgear.com). I have a third insert that nests inside the UQ if it is unseasnably cold. This will take me into the low 40's or there abouts.
For cooler weather I have the JRB Mount Washington 3 UQ. It is awesome on those really cold nights. So warm and toasty.
Kyle - I have an HH Backpacker UL. I got used a KAQ Potomac on this board. I am also a summer camper, not winter, and the KAQ is just right for me. It also works on my WBBB. The adjustable shock cord on each side and the ends makes it easy to fit just about any gathered end hammock.
I am not much for DIY, but you could use an old (or cheapy) sleeping bag modified as shown on some threads here.
I agree with what chrisH said 100% . dont let people tell you WB is the best hammock . literaly go to a hang and try different ones out. only you know what you like
Dale Gribble: I'm thinking, "new hammock." For me, laying and swaying in a hammock is like a steady morphine drip without the risk of renal failure.
Randy : yea but just remember yer roots and where ya come from....you got Hennessy in yer blood son......
