3 day trip and staying dry in torrential rain

Sorta new to hammocking. Got a CJH last year and have taken it out on every trip since.

In any case I'd like to just say... I had a great trip last week and I managed to stay dry, warm and cozy without a thought in a torrential downpour all night long while my poor coworker struggled to stay dry and out of puddles in his single wall solo tent. Sounds like another convert... he's planning on checking out a Hennessy now!

    WOW! What a beautiful place!
I'm glad you didn't have suspension failure. Those rocks look like a nasty landing pad. Would have been a shame to lose a new convert and an established devotee in one fell swoop.
On the other hand, I guess they help keep the dirt out of your hammock.

I woke up in the middle of the night to find a little stream underneath my hammock! That said, the two trees I picked that night seemed like the nicest place to hang, rocks underneath or not. Sure am glad I don't have to sleep on the ground!

DUDE!! Awesome pictures. Thanks for sharing. It is good to hear a trip going well in spite of a little rain. It always seems to rain when I go camping.
