    Warbonnet Quality

When I was debating on whether or not to buy a hammock and tarp from Brandon, my biggest concern was quality. I read several posts where people had purchased things and raved about the quality. However, I am new to hammocks and don't know anyone on the forums so those posts didn't actually mean a whole lot to me, because the interpretation of "quality" might be different from one person to the next, or by not knowing the comparison a person is making it to.

That said, I wanted to actually write about my perception of Warbonnet quality and what I compare it to.

My first real job was at a place in Nashville called Crown Tent & Awning. I learned to sew and manufacture large tents and side-walls. Tents like the ones for fireworks, Christmas trees, and weddings. I worked there for a few years and then I went to work for Springs bath fashions, making shower curtains. My point in telling you that is so that you understand I used to sew professionally so that's where I get my interpretation of quality.

My impression of the Blackbird and the Superfly is that, they are as well made as anything you would buy anywhere. They are not just well made, they are "professional quality". The hems are even and the stitching is consistent all the way around. The materials are flawless and first run.

If any of you are like me and you just don't feel sure about it, and wonder what someones definition of quality is... I hope this semi-review makes your decision easier.

It's nice to see an opinion backed by some experience.

When I got my WB gear I compared it to my other outdoor gear and that was what I based my judgements on. It easily matches any quality gear you would see on the shelf in a store.

    Thanks for your input SouthpawKurt.

Awesome review and I could not agree more with the quality of Warbonnet products. Brandon makes top quality gear. Actually actually all the vendors here on HF take great pride in their product and you will find that all the products from all the vendors here on HF are of the same quality as Warbonnet.

I went from a Hennessy to a Blackbird. Before I pulled the trigger on it, I lurked on every forum I could find with anything to do with hammocks (mostly here, though) to find the best hammock. Brandon's name kept coming up. I specifically wanted to get away from the bottom entrance - very cumbersome for me and my bad knees. The Warbonnet Blackbird turned out to be the hammock for me. I too was leery of the craftsmanship - till I used it. I'm happy with it and recommend it to all my ground dwelling friends (and non friends) all the time. Brandon does excellent work!

WBBB seems to be great. This review was awesome to see that someone that has experience sewing says it's great. Thank you for taking the time to help me want one even more!
